Curtiss is a Partner of KHPJM. Curtiss brings 25 years of experience as an attorney. Curtiss focuses his energies on representing the interests of Unions and their members. His efforts in assisting Unions include all internal Union matters. He also assists with Union ERISA-qualified funds such as pension, health and apprenticeship funds.
Curtiss appears before the National Labor Relations Board, National Mediation Board, the Public Employment Relations Commission, the Civil Service Commission, and State and Federal courts, including administrative courts. Curtiss has also handled thousands of grievance and administrative arbitrations before several arbitration boards and agencies. Finally, Curtiss has negotiated hundreds of collective bargaining and negotiations agreements on behalf of his Union clients.
Curtiss owned his own law firm representing Unions for the past several years before returning to the Firm, where he began in 2002. Prior to that, Curtiss worked as an attorney for the Margolis Law Group, clerked at Cohen Weiss and Simon in NYC, interned at the National Labor Relations Board, the City of New York Office of Corporation Counsel, and also with Judge Greenberg, P.J.Ch. - Hudson Vicinage. Curtiss was a Barrister with the Sidney Reitman Labor and Employment American Inn of Court. Curtiss is also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Curtiss originally hails from Chicago and is a fan of the Cubs, but not of the other baseball team that plays somewhere else in Illinois. He is married and has three teenage daughters, so absolutely nothing scares him anymore.
